Depressing Thought of the Day

Matt is a physicist so he speaks the truth about the natural world to me and we were chatting one day about it and it turns out that in space, if you were to, say scream, no one would hear you! There is literally no sound in space. Think about it. Sound is just the vibration of continuous waves of air molecules against your ear drum which vibrations are interpreted in your brain and are perceived by your conscious person as an audio sensation. In space, there is no air, no vibrations, hence, no sound. So all that cosmic movement, expanding, stretching, grinding, pulsating, churning, exploding; it's all happening in complete silence and no one will ever, no matter how advanced we become, be able to hear our great universe speak because we will never distribute air molecules throughout the universe in a uniform enough pattern to create the same conditions under which we can experience sound here on earth. How depressing is that?
