Sacha Baron Cohen is a British comedian. He was in Talladega Nights and he plays Ali G. He also plays a boorish man from Kazakstan named Borat, who has a movie coming out soon.
Keith first showed Grace and I online videos of Borat. He interviewed Americans and the joke is basically how ridiculous he can get away with being, because everyone thinks he's from a very different culture. For instance, he goes to a historic farm in the South and sees this guy demonstrating how to use wood tools from the 1800s. Borat is confused, and tells the man that in Kazakstan, they have a machine that cuts wood, with "no man." The demonstrator tries to explain that he is a historical interpreter, but Borat thinks he must be a slave, and keeps trying to buy him.
Anyway, Borat went to Britain before the USA. And yesterday, we watched him at Cambridge University (the video is here).
What a bunch of squares.
We set this up to keep in touch with people we may not see for awhile. So keep in touch. We'll try to keep this thing interesting and updated frequently.

Ehem, sexist squares. Even Borat seems a little taken aback with Prof. Ian's claim that women are not creative.
