Lazy Dog Day Afternoon

We're down to our last four weeks in DC now. Next weekend a friend is coming to visit us so we'll have some nonstop action, but this weekend, today. . . it's a lazy dog day afternoon. Getting up late, sittin' around, reading the paper, cooking quesadillas. For the first time ever I even took advantage of our porch. The hot weather finally broke here. We're in the low 90's instead of the low 100s. And the humidity has lifted. It feels positively comfortable in the shade. Maybe we'll sit out on the porch tonight, nurse some beers and watch the night go by.
