Matt and I have mentioned that we are going to India (in a week actually) for my uncle's wedding and to meet some family. And we have also mentioned that we are going to teach English at an orphanage afterward for six weeks. The orphanage is called Hebron Chidlren's Home and it is located about an hour's drive away from the east coast of Andhra Pradesh (a state in India). I was reading their website today and under the section for "what you can do" the first thing they suggested was posting a link on your blog.
Hebron Children's Home
So give it a look.
There are 340 children in their facilities, which were meant to house only 70. Many of them are orphans from the tsunami. They clearly need help. If you have any inclination, please think about giving a donation. There are no administrative fees, because two of the major funders Richard and Mandy Swanell (of Australia) handle all administration themselves. All the donations go straight to Hebron House.
We set this up to keep in touch with people we may not see for awhile. So keep in touch. We'll try to keep this thing interesting and updated frequently.
