As Grace said, we're in Bournemouth. We have no car, no mobiles, no internet access, and we forgot our guide to the United Kingdom in America. The kids are in school all day, and the parents, exhausted from no sleep due to a new born baby, go to bed by 9:30.
It all adds up to a lot of television for us. There are four channels - BBC 1, BBC 2, Channel 4, and iTV. Really, it's pretty good programming, but there are dry stretches. British news seems a bit alarmist to Grace and I. People are really worried about obesity here, but we're pretty jaded coming from America. Still, we suppose it is a national problem when health care is socialized.
There's also a program coming on soon called "I Smack and I'm Proud" about the parenthood discipline practice of smacking (a sharp slap on the legs I think), which may be illegal soon.
But we do get out. The picture is of the beach, which we visited on one of the nicer days. It was a really nice beach actually, though probably pretty cold. There were surfers out in wet suits, which I was pretty excited about.
